Band celebrate grant from Awards for all // October 20th 2008 
On Saturday 18th October, Launceston Town Band celebrated a grant from Award for All and the reopening of the Band Room with a Quiz Night. Eight teams battled it out, with The Dobson’s winning, The Dingles coming a close second, and The Girls (Junior Band members) receiving the wooden spoon for a great effort. All had a fun evening, which ended with a buffet supper.
The grant from Awards for All, for £7,389, enabled the Town Band to complete Phase 1 Building Renovations, this involved the Band Room having a new hall floor, carpet, fitted kitchen, electrical, heating, hot water and security system, new toilets and a complete redecoration.
